School Events
Here at Hollyfields we believe the children benefit from regular trips and visits to places of educational interest. Below are some of the recent events we've had. Feel free to have a browse through.

9 Jul 2010 Our Sports Day this year was on a glorious, sunny afternoon. In their house teams, the children competed against each other in races such as hockey, bean bag, skipping, three - legged, relay and dress the scarecrow. The event ended with a game of rounders with parents and children in mixed teams. Click on picture to view more images. July Special Assembly
7 Jul 2010 For our July Special Assembly, all the children were involved in our performance of 'The Pirates'. Their wonderful costumes set the scene for some hearty singing and energetic dancing. Click on the picture to view more images. North American Day
25 Jun 2010 Through out the day the children were busy painting Native American masks, using symbols to create stories and making Totem Poles, Dream Catchers and quilled bags. At the end of the day we had a pow wow in the garden and everyone had the opportunity to taste some North American food, including bison meat and cowboy casserole. An outing to Longleat
22 Jun 2010 Everyone thoroughly enjoyed all the attractions at Longleat. The older children had been studying the history of the Thynne family, so they were fascinated to see all the wonderful paintings and furniture inside the house. The younger children went into Animal Adventure and they were able to hold snakes and giant snails. Click on image to view more pictures. A Science Day
16 Jun 2010 Deirdre, from Shell Education Services, oganised fun activities that aimed to encourage and inspire the children to explore and question science through hands-on investigation.The activities included a balloon buggy race, the human cannonball, acrobatic marbles, roundabouts, performing animals and balancing clowns.
